Padova has multiple markets, every single day in the main two squares - Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza della Frutta - you can always find fresh fruits and vegetables. My problem with posing (when I do it - just like in this photo) is that I kinda get lost, looking at the horizon. What the lens did not capture (shame really because it would have made an excellent b-roll) is me rolling a cigarette and enjoying the next 15’, taking in all this beauty. Today actually, someone told me that this kind of scenery / location / weather might be depressing. I don’t take depression lightly, since I had a quick “brush” with that monster myself. Nevertheless, I like to see the diversity in experience people have when looking at my pictures. I was happy in this one btw…

Midnight. We were on the way back from Piazza San Marco. As we zig zagged through the endless maze of bridges that is Venice, I looked across and everything lined up. The moon was aligned right at the centre of the canal. Just as I pressed the shutter, a speedboat buzzed down the lane. I hesitated for a moment before pushing down on the button.

Here we are in Brescia, in the north of Italy. It’s August 12th and we are about 2000m high. We have set up the tent for the night, we prepare to sleep a few hours and then wake up, capture some shooting stars and head towards the top (about 3100m).

During the summer it can be difficult to escape the swarms of tourists that visit the famous seaside towns of Cinque Terre. In order to capture this beautiful photo of Riomaggiore I had to climb to the end of the rock jetty that protects boats in the harbor.
